I don´t see the point in lowering your car... the geometry is all messed up then, the CV shafts are strained, etc.

I think it looks stupid so lowered. The only reason why I would lower my car is for better handling purposes.

Well I think that lowering your car is good to a point. Maybe 1 or 2 inches, for a lower stance, but this whole "ride on the frame" thing is way outta hand and overhyped.

how much is it for a reasonable 1.5" lowering spring kit? Can you use the stock struts?

jged-

those are the BMW angeleye headlights, however, you should be able to achieve a similar effect with BMW E36 headlights and glowwire.

Angel eyes... how sweet is that?

Depends on how its lowered if you lower it just a little bit for performance (like on some sort of progressive drop springs) You can improve you handling because your center of gravity is lower....however,

If you just put joe-scmhoe coilovers on you could be riding on bump stops. Handling will suck and you´ll have to plan out a driving route through your city that is lowered friendly.

But you sacrifice ride for looks....look at all the mini-trucks that are bagged...they can look nice laying frame at the grocery store, but driving them around has got to be a bitch!

Yeah, sorry Skuce, I wasn´t clear. I´m not talking badly about bagged mini´s at all.... In fact I would love to have an S10 laying frame on 18´s. I will have one eventually! But I really want an S10 Xtreme 4.3L supercharged really bad too...but even with all the power it would still be on coilovers and down.

When going over pot holes and speed bumps you could bottom out your car and do serious damage to things like the shifter linkage, fuel lines, and the exhaust.
