Hi I'm having an issue with my escort. When you bring the RPM's up the engine wants to die once they've come back down to idle. It hasn't actually stalled yet but it comes damn close. I've done some searching but haven't found any threads with this exact problem. But, I was thinking maybe the fuel filter or the EGR valve? Any input would be great! thanks.

Does it do this in gear? I am assuming it's an auto.

It is an auto, but it only seems to do it in park or neutral. Not when the cars moving.
