Never had the nerve to find out if my escort has a low fuel light, does a 91 Escort have a low fuel light? Just a ponder...

while we are sort of on the topic of wheels, would ZX2 wheels fit as well or are they different?

The correct answer to the question about the low fuel light is: it depends on the trim package you've got (Johnny B is from Quebec, so he doesn't have a clue  ).

My old 91 LX with the sport cluster had the low fuel light.

My new 91 LX without the sport cluster did not have the low fuel light. After doing the cluster swap, it now does :D . I love that light. The cluster swap also gives you a tach (once you're run the tach wire and changed the EDIS module) and a fifth cluster backlight. Then I added cruise control, changed the steering wheel cover and it's like I'm driving my old car, minus all the rust!

also to see if you have a light or not when you first put your car to the run postion all of your "dummy lights" light up .

Haha Quebec here too... See, we don't need idiot lights :) Our rule of thumb is start the engine, and if the fuel gauge turns to the LEFT even ahead of "E", it's time to add gas. We also mix it with snow, it improves tachyon particle atomization required for starting the car at - 198F.

I actually want to put in a higher speed reading spedo in my escort, the stock highest reading on it is 140km/h but i've seen ones wich go about 160 or 180km/h. any how-to's or things to watch out for?
