98 Escort with the "sport" decals on the fenders. Rear spoiler looks to be all that's "sporty" on it. Auto with 122k miles. Doesn't have PW, cruise, and only has the single power/remote driver door lock. A/C is currently not cold and I haven't looked into that yet. Got it from an older guy who bought it new and drove it regularly but needed some cash.

Here's a couple pics. You can see my 95 Tracer in the background. I was amazed at how much more take-off power this has than my 1.9.

Sweet car.. I really like my 1998 LX. It's been both economical and dependable.

The only major problem was the A/C. I've had the car 5 years and the A/C just died me a couple of weeks ago. Something blew and let out all the refrigerant... I still haven't got around to fixing it yet. I really sweated today (Temp in the 80's with 80% humidity) so I'll be giving the job more priority

The interior is gray, and the seats have colorful sqwiggles going thru them. It does have the chrome tip as well.

I was really looking for another 2nd gen, but when I found this on CL 10 minutes away I had to check it out. Got it for $1250!

nice man i have a similar colored 99 escort se with sunroof ect. on it they really do have more get oomph it seems compared to my older 94 lx asnd yeah the sport was rear seats hub caps exuast tip decals and some times a younger driver then 65 lol. mine i got for 2000 with 18000 on it lol now ummmm in 3 years its 189000 and going strong. great find really lucky .l

I finally got around to plating it. Didn't have to because of the 95 and the Exploder, but the Ex is going away some day so I figured I might as well put the 98 in rotation as well.

Now to get that A/C going....

Just took out the CCRM and took it apart. The solder point that seems to go bad in most of them was bad in mine as well. The relays pin was loose in the middle of the solder so I heated it up and added a little.

It works great now! This site is TOTALLY AWESOME! :cheer:
