running giggly=void warranty...

the only other things that seperate it from any other 2.3 duratec focus is the body kit and the rear floormat.. oh, and the juice setup..

now tell me, is juice, a floormat, rims and a kit worth 10g's over the retail value of a regular zx3? yeah i dont htink so..

uhhh.... how about the Momo seats, the suspension, exhaust, and the factory N2O system which probably would run you about $800-1200 because it's not like Saleen uses cheap shizat
so let's add this up. seat, maybe $500. suspension, maybe another $1500. exhaust, $150 let's say. for N2O, let's say $800. rims, $1200 maybe. floormats, $20. shifter, maybe $30. body kit, maybe $400-600. so that's, like, $3400???? if that really, in upgrades they did to it. plus it bares the name saleen. so that's another say, $2000. so then they mark it up double what they put into it, how else do you think they're gonna make any money? plus a new 2.3L Focus ZX3, will probably run you about $15k for the base model. if you upgrade it with a sound system and all that jazz, you're looking at probably around $17k-18k. so if you could pick up a factory N2O plus body kitted car, without any extra work, straight from the showroom floor to your driveway, that would probably keep up with an RSX when you're spraying, isn't that worth it? oh. i forgot the hood scoop. i mean, sure, they could lose the hood scoop, and swap out the ugly arse stock grille, but, you could just punch that sucka out, and put in a homemade mesh grille.

its just, for the extra money that you would spend at the dealer for that car, just get a regular zx3.. and mod the shit out of it.. get this:

a regulatr 2.3 duratec zx3 with full exhaust (header &pipes), an intake and a throttle body, it runs with the early 2000's svt's.. that's mid 14's there buddy..

so u could, A. spend 10k extra on a zx3 with a kit and 'saleen' written on it

or

b. buy a regular zx3, put the kit you want on it, get engine mods, run what the saleen runs on nos ALL the time.. and just go from there...

i believe it was focus central that did this little experiment.. read my sig and you'll know how/why i know all this stuff...

mustang hood scoop and wing = teh ghey
body kit, it is not too tastless. But buying a car preplumed with No2, no thank you.. I have no way of knowing if the turd that installed did it right, if the owner used a ballzy shot to get into the 13's. burnt rings, glazed clutch or fractured CV... too many no, no's for me..

guys this is a factory no2 setup. FACTORY! go to saleen.com and look at this focus. they decided to run no2 instead of turbo or s/c. this is a true saleen modded by saleen themselves not just some ricer who took saleen and had it imprinted on the back of a bumper.

it seems some of you know this but judging by some of the other comments not everyone knows it.

I got the chance to see one of those cars in person last year at the California International Auto Show, in Anaheim, and I talked to the rep ther efrom Saleen... There WAS a limited number made for the first run, THEY DO COME STOCK WITH NO2... Again, just a comment for those of you who have never heard that Saleen did turn their attention to Ford's replacement for the Escort. Too bad they didn't hitup the Scort to try and get in on the sport compact market... it might have saved the lineage.

I realize that.. but that does not mean the previous owner changed the jet. I too would have like to seen a ZX2 saleen...

You think I could convert that hoodscoop back into a paint roller tray?

Uuuuugly. Saleen is nothing but a supplier of family sized bags of rice, and this Focus is no different.
Thats rediculous - the Focus is the first car that Saleen has ever come out with that could ever come anywhere close to rice and I personally don't think that it is a ricey car.

Whats this rice?? - yeah right. It's the Saleen S7 the farthest thing from rice!
