this may be true. but i never rape peoples cars. so it would probly sit in my driveway or garage for the week/end i work on it.

That would just be a waste. lol You'd need to take it out at least once.

sure looks good. do you have hinges so that you can reach the spare?
what spare? i live 6 miles from my work. if i go on any kind of road trip i will jsut pack my spare in the car but i normally use teh wifes matrix for road trips. it fits teh family a littel bit better.

i need to get a full size spare. but have just not gone and done it yet. when i buy new tires next spring i will jsut keep my nicest one and put it on a 15" steelie. the donut spare would be a bad thing being as low as i am.

I tried to swap my spare for a full size in my Escort once, it did not fit. It was a 185/65/14 on an OEM steel wheel. I do know the 13" wheels fit in there though.

a 195/60/14 and a 205/40/17 fit nicely on my old escort, havent tried on the one i have now. i think it would be about the same though.

Neuman, how long did it take you to make the cover?

roughly 4-5 hours. that includes all needed rewiring, specing out the messurements, carpeting, and having the wife help me squeeze it in. all the trunk panels have to come out for it to fit in the car. seems the entire thing is one peice of wood. the only removeable part is the small flush cover.
