I don't race a lot, I like my liscense valid and my insurance cheap, but some people typically ask for it.

Here is the list of the race victories that I can remember:

Five Various Hondas.
Two Acuras.
A Jetta.
Several V6 Mustangs (personal favorites)
A Slammed and primered Toyota Pickup.
Two Neons.

And most recently, a late model Dodge Intrepid. I was on a pizza run and didn't even want to race the guy, but He asked for it. He even had a jump on me but the little escort that could smoked him, Papa John's sign and all.

I've also been spanked a few times as well. The newer hondas always seem to get me and the other night I was choking on the tire smoke of a 70 chevelle with a blown 454. It was an absolute exercise in futility, but I think i just wanted to see the smoke rise from those Mickey Thompson drag tires. That car let out a breathtaking roar as it sped away.

Eh. Torque is your 'get up and go' to a certain extent, if you have no torque you're sure not gonna get off the line. I think it's because they're heavy and for the most part four cylanders of about the same size that you put in an Escort...

yeah, s-10's are slow as sh*t. all their horsepower is put towards torque. so there's no "get-up-and-go" with them.
Torque is the get up and go force behind cars. Camaros and Mustangs wouldn't be anything without their 302 and 340 ft lbs torque.

So far I am 5 and 2 in the Civic

WIN
~A new Cavalier ECOTEC (2.2L I4, 150 hp) *I'm not sure if I was stock or not at the point of this race.
~A blue bodykitted Civic Si (99-00) (body kitted, big rims, probably stereo)
~mid 90s Aurora 4.0 V8*
~2004 Dodge Stratus SXT* (my friends new car, from a 60 roll I walked right by him
~2000ish+ Sunfire GT* (my friends moms car)

LOSS
~LT1 Camaro Z28 5.7L V8
~Early 90s turbo Miata...pulled 5 cars on me, told me he had a T3/T4 turbo on it.

*After I added my first modication, my Injen CAI.

In My Escort...crap I have too many kills and losses to type out

I know I had an older Corolla, and older Cavalier like 3 times in 15 minutes on the highway, pulled on a bunch of 95-98 Mustang V6s, numerous Z24s. Pulled on a new Grand Am SE, older Grand Prix GT, Lost to a few older Lumina Z34s.. completely raped by a V8 something or another...

Eh let's see... I've owned my car for a while now...

Beat some base Eclipses of all generations, Civics (not the Si), some Accords, a 97 Mercury Sable in a top speed contest, numerous SUVs of varying types (mostly blazers and explorers), a ranger, and a couple minivans.

Raced Majormasterminds Escort GT on the highway, got smoked on a long curve where a combination of not enough grip, wonky suspension, and not enough top end left me in the dust. Later that night we raced from stoplights and if we used the light to start instead of me counting down I got him... I /think/ every time, it was a while ago. His car is auto, he's got exhaust, header, intake, it's lowered and has some 15" rims. Had an amp and subs in the back vs my no subs no amp, so he probably had an 80 lb handicap right there.

Raced an automatic ZX2 with a 3" exhaust and stayed ahead of him the whole time. Speaking of things that start with ZX, I tangled with a Focus Wagon, I think the ZX5, side by side in a rather stupid move on a 1 lane exit ramp. (I was mad at her for some reason, don't know why.) Lucky that didn't end up in a wreck, to be honest.

On the other side, I've also gotten smoked by a minivan that had no seats and the AWD option. Tried a mustang, that didn't work. BMW's, Mercedes, and Supras as well. Got owned by a Corolla once.

Also got owned by a lowered... Something or other. It was white, made by GMC or Chevy, debadged, dualies on the back, 2" off the ground, with a crew cab. Diesel. Pulled up next to him at a light and laughed, tore off and had about 3 carlengths on him from that light to the fire station exit near my college (not sure how far, maybe a few hundred feet) then I hear this insane whistle-rumble noise and he FLIES past me and leaves me choking on a cloud of sulfur. That really hurt my pride.

Heh. I go to Lindbergh sometimes. But my car really isn't anything to be super proud of. Hell I didn't even buy it myself. Anyways. Yeah, I haven't raced anybody in quite a while. I guess I haven't found anybody who would just randomly 'do it' from a stop light, and that's my style so... Meh.

Going to a high school known for their new cars has really taught me a good lesson... and won me some races...
My school which was then currently overrun with Civics with Vinyl and wheels yeilded me a great opportunity to run my 5-speed LX...
My LX has a full 2/1/4 crush bent cat back with a Megan Racing Muffler, Airhog Air Filter, and the best of all, a brand new clutch.
I've actually kept a record of my wins/loses and right now I'm at 60/4. Honest. BUT - Remember that all my wins are stock this and stock that (mostly Hondas and even some 'Ludes and a WRX).
All these were COMPLETELY STOCK with some exterior mods, so don't post a thread sayin' I brag too much or am full of BS. We all drive 'Scorts and know they are full of torque in 1st and 2cd.

I've lost to:
1. Toyota Supra (95ish with turbo)
2. 1989 Crown Victoria
3. Harley Davidson F-150
4. 1999 Camaro SS

Just curious, is anybodies gear ratios in first and second as long as mine? I cannot do anymore than 35 in first and about 64 in second...?
I'm not kiddin' about that either, I'll prove it to anyone that doesn't beleive me...I don't know how, but I will. PM me with the gear rats....

How in the WORLD did you beat a WRX? Did his f'ing transmission drop out on the starting line or something? There's NO WAY he was trying unless you cut him off or something...
