I do have a little gold pressed latinum if you are interested.
It's fictional currency in Star Trek Deep Space Nine series. There, gold was actually worthless. They used it, merely as a container for latinum, a very valuable liquid. Of course, gold would serve as a poor container for anything. (at least, pure gold)
I hope the latinum doesn't "amalgamate" with the gold container, like mercury does.
Interesting and fun topic. Have only a few Escort related cars in my list, but some interesting as well as shitty cars over the years. Marked the escort related stuff in my list.

* The Ford Probe was sort of a successor to the EXP so I consider that loosely related.

The ford probe was going to be the replacement for the mustang but mustang fans frowned upon those shenanigans. The mustang stayed rear wheel drive.

Not sure what ford was thinking with the probe replacing the mustang. I get the FWD part and all. But it would have never lived up the the mustang even if it was RWD.
I haven't owned very many cars myself. I didn't start driving until much later in my life then most do and I drive a car until it's wheels fall off then slap them back on.

My first car was a 97 Audi A4. Sold at 290k mikes.
05 jag Xtype. Motor blew at 150k. Hated that car.
2019 fiesta S 5 speed. Daily driver.
87 EXP sport rust bucket.
88 EXP project car.
That fiesta should last you a long time.

Looking at some rust pretty early on with my 16 ST, not so sure. They cut some corners when it came to paint. There are also some absolutely dumb design decisions, like leaving a literal shelf for road salt and water to sit and fester on, in the rear wheel wells. At some point I'll be pulling apart the rear paneling to see if they made the same "mistakes" back there, that they did with the 'scort. If so, I'll be dropping the rear strut towers and applying a crapload of gasket sealer on top of them, before immediately reinstalling, as preventative.

That said, it is a great car and really do love the ST.

Hopefully. Its only 10 mouths old and has 21k miles on it.

I've had my focus for 2 years and put 8k on it. The one mile commute is the best!

My commute is about 26 miles etch way. But I drive out of state a lot around a 300mile trip. Miles can rack up fast.
The only other place I drive is to the junkyard to fix up my other car. If I didn't have the other car I wouldn't drive as much!
Car #108 is a 2004 focus wagon. Tundra (grayish green) with a tan interior, 117k miles.
The alternator failed and the lady couldn't afford to get it fixed, so it sat for almost 2 years before she posted it for sale and I bought it.

Car #109 is a black 2008 Ford Focus SE.

Bought it off a little old guy. I've been driving past it for a year or so, and finally decided to stop. He chose to stop driving two years ago, and parked the car. It's filthy right now, needs a scrub inside and more importantly out.
Oh boy, I could be here for a minute.
