what kind of power you need to run the ms interface?

I think the ideal specs would be no slower then a Pentium 133 but could get away with like a 90, 8MB of RAM, and enough hard drive space for the OS and the MS software.

if it will run win98 you can use it. all it needs is a serial port and a cdrom

hmm i might be able to help you out on that on and it will have Win XP on it as well it is a Pentium 2, 366MHz with 256MB of RAM and i can install Office Xp on it for you as well!

it actualy runs quite good and i belive the lowest reguirements for Win XP is a 266MHz P2 cause i got it to run on my old 266Mhz desktop Pc and it ran just fine!

I've got a little IBM at home that sounds like it should meet the requirements, or I have a Toshiba that I can nearly guarantee does, I will check them out, but if they work, I'll ask $150 Canadian + shipping (if you don't live near me) and I'll put on a fresh copy of 98 on it for ya

If you look on www.compgeeks.com they usually have some refurb pentium3 laptops around $300-399.

Actually the minimum for windows xp is a P II 233mhz wit 64 ram.. but that will run like crap..
