I hope that this kill is legal, But this girl didnt know how to drive, she had pacesetter aftermarket parts on the thing. But it was still slow, I have a modded stock air box, No o2 sensor (love odb1) turbo cherry bomb 2 muffler, no flex resinator straight back to muffler. and I still killed her by 1 car length. by the way anybody know why when I dump my car into second it wont bark the tires? it sticks and go and I got some cheap-o tires on the front....

I have a 94 egt and a 02 zx2. the 02 is an auto and I am convinced that my 94 would run away with it. So yes I would count it. an auto zx2 is a dog out of the hole. a better torque converter could help with that a little. then again a standard would help a lot.

The auto ZX2 is a dog. My best friend has a 2000 auto ZX2 with a intake and 2 inch exhaust and I had a 93 lx 5 spd with intake, 2 1/4 inch exhaust, and ram air and as soon as I soon as I hit 3rd I was a car and and 1/2 ahead. He would get so upset.

I have a 1999 ZX2 MTX.... It´s pretty quick, not a giant killer, but still good pickup. How fast does your GT go 0-60 and 1/4 mile?? I´ve smoked MX-6´s, Foci (Yeah, a ZX3 MTX), and a brand new EP Civic Si... 7.4 sec. 0-60, 16.6 @ 82 mph 1/4 mile.

I´m sorry the brand new 2003 Civic SI does not hit 60 in 7.4 seconds. The 99, & 2000 SI do, but the 03 doesn´t...it does it in 8.5, which is .1 seconds slower than the 2nd Gen Escort GT. (8.4s 0-60, 16.5s 1/4 mile) If the new SI did a 7.4 second 0-60 then it should be hitting roughly mid 15s in the 1/4 mile, but you´re saying a 16.6?? Still slower than my 2nd Gen GT

A recent magazine article I just read had 8 sport compact cars for under $20,000 in a "bang for the buck" comparison test...guess who came in dead last? the new Civic SI. The new Neon SRT-4 came in 1st (duh) and then there was the Tibreron GT V6, Jetta GTI, Sentra SE-R Spec V, (I drove one of these last night, 2.5L I4, 175 hp, 6 speed short throw MT) the Focus SVT, and two other cars I can´t remember at the moment. (I´ll post later which two I forgot) The SI is slow and weak. It did a crappy slalom and skippad tests, but had ok braking tests. The magazine said that Ford and Nissan didn´t have to worry about the new SI, it was completely outgunned. The thing about the SI was that it had 1.6 liters pushing 160 hp. 100 hp per liter. very cool. but the NEW SI engine is a 2.0L, which means more weight, but it stays at 160 hp. Also, the new SI engine isn´t as easy to tune as the old one was. Besides, they ugli-fied the new SI beyond belief. I laughed at the one I saw this morning.

In the interest of correctness, there is no such thing as a Jetta GTI. The Jetta is a 4dr sedan, which HAS come in a GLI model. The GTI is a hatchback, based on the Golf platform, but never called a Golf. The 1g GTI was called the Rabbit GTI, and from 2g on it´s just GTI. (8v, 16v, 1.8T or VR6 engines)

I should know, cause my family´s owned 6 VW´s, including my 2 GTI´s.

I have a 2000 Zx2 with a manual, and I took on another Zx2 a couple weeks ago. It must have been an auto, because he had me in 1st, but as soon I got into 2nd, I was long gone. They are quick little buggers.

I´ll take care of the Cavi killing for ya James, have no worries.

1/4 mile times:

If you´ve ever read any of my old posts in teh kills section, then you know I hate neons and cavaliers with a passion, but the redesigned Neons are pretty tight. Dodge really did good with all their cars with this redesign. if you haven´t, i suggest checking out a stratus or neon. They look more aggressive, I just hope the engines are backing it up.
