ok ive lost my keys and just wanna go with it and make a mod with the whole situatuion, how can i make me a switch for my car for the acc and the push button start i dont need to lock my steering wheel ....please any help ?? :-?

Okay you need three things for this to work. two 30 amp toggle switches and a 30 amp starter button. these are sold at auto autozones everywhere. I will allow you to disengage the steering lock. if you cant figure it out then go through a manual to find it and rig something up. first get the old ignition switch out and id the wires. this will be fun to do since you can´t turn your key. If you have trouble figuring out what is what, then rip the guts out of the tumblers and use any key to turn it. that being done. hook the first toggle switch up to the accessory wire(s) and the constant power. second switch gets the wires you ID to be the run wires and then the starter button gets the crank wires and whatever else may have been hooked to the crank position. If you don´t want three, you can put the accessory stuff in with the run wires and just have one toggle and one button.

aight imma need a better explanation than that im not to famiiar witht the steering column, please hook me up with l;ike a how to cause i really need this i lost my keys and it would help if you only use to switches one for acc and whatever else would be needed and the other just the push button starter and i guess i need to know how to keep that from locking

maybe im not getting it or something, but if you install a push starter what are you going to do about the doors? will u never lock your car?

That reminds me, if you ever ride in my old scort, never lock the doors! I lost my keys because, like and idiot, I left them in my swim trunks when I was, uh, swimming and of course they fell out and were lost forever. I ended up replacing the ignition switch, but the car died before I ever got around the replacing the doors and trunk locks. Thankfully the trunk had an electric release button in the glove box (Of course I never even knew it was there until about a month after I lost my keys). Anyway, you could always put in remote activated door locks, but that would take alot of time and money so its up to you.

I know if your car is like my car 2egts keys from other scorts work on unlocking it. I have one key for my 2gts and it will unlock and start both of them hell it will even unlock my friends 94 tempo. :-W
