...looking for some help. I am positively amazed at this website! I had no idea there was such a 'following' for Escorts!!
I have an'88 wagon GL that I bought from my former boss for $400 a couple of years ago. He was the second owner, having been given the car by his uncle when he got too old to drive it.
I'm having fome fuel delivery problems, so went online to see if I could figure it out. That's how I ended up here - I don't even remember now where I was on the site now.
I don't know if I really "belong" here because I'm not (or wasn't before now) into restoring, etc. - but reading some of the post makes me want to ask for a Chilton for my car for Christmas!

Thanks for those suggestions. I had a new fuel filter put in last spring, when I had some other problems - had a complete tune-up, so air filter was changed, too. I don't do that much driving, & should do some more freeway driving because I mostly drive 25-35 mph. I know that's not good for the engine.

I was thinking it may be the fuel pump, too - I think it's had one repair/replacement already. I received a folder full of repairs statement/bills/etc. when I bought the car so I'm going to go through those tonight.

BTW, a few weeka ago while driving home from work, I spotted an Escort wagon around the same year as mine with a silver grey paint job, chrome wheels, etc., that looked so fine - I was jealous! I wonder if that person knows about or is a member of this forum...
