:thumbleft: These seats are great. I have a 93 Escort Pony and after the seat swap I can't believe I never did this sooner. It's like sittin' in a glove when I go around corners. Direct bolt-in and ready for curves. They sit at a nice height too. Whoever found out about this mod I give you a big thanks.

Good to hear.. my seats should arrive sometime next week, I can't wait :D I'm going to see what I can do about incorporating the rear bench into the wagon as well. I'll let everyone know how that goes. Should be relevant to everyone with 4 doors.

91Sleeperscort, thanks for the How-To's, you're work is turning this site into a real resource and helping lots of folks (myself included). Thanks to Slapyo too, for "article-izing" the How-To's.

Well I guess for a shorrt person the steering will be a little high but it's just righ for me. I did notice the seats being much lower but now it's where I was trying to slouch at in my other seats. I also rode to Atlanta and back nonstop to see how comfortable they were and the comfort was way better than my old seats.

Also were tilt steering ever put on any Escorrts, (2nd Gen).

Yep. I've got tilt on my 93 LX wagon. If I remember correctly, it came with the "performance package" ( )option; which was a tachometer, cruise-control, and the tilt column. You should be able to unbolt one from the j/y and swap it in without trouble.

The female part is already attatched to the seats, like I said bolt and go.
I tested out the seatbelts before i swaped the seats and the female and male parts of the belts didn't work together...so i had to swap them, it took another 10 minutes...but i still got it done..they look sooo god! i just need to lower to column now....

Very nice pic. Since I don't have the digicam I can't take pics yet. I was thinking about pulling my car next to my computer room window and using my webcam. Ghetto Style...... :rr:

Glad to hear people are still putting the how-to's to use. Whenever I do something to the car and can't find any info on it I try to make a how-to, so it will be easier for people in the future that do the same stuff.
