well, looks like i got another clutch to be doing....my damn clutch slips whenever i stomp on the pedal while it´s in gear...

but, i know i can do it, but it´s balls cold out...and i would need a straight weekend to do it....

not to mention the money, ...but i think i got time before the clutch goes out completely, i can push it down maybe 1/3 of the way, and slowly keep pressing it......doesn´t matter right now......

she still runs!!!!

Hey, man! I know how you feel! It´s cold in eastern PA too, not to mention there´s 6" of snow on the ground and more faling now. Rotten weather for working on cars, unless you have a big heated garage.
:p
Glad I got some work done on my (94) scort last week while it was nice, cause now she´s stuck in the garage till all this mess melts away.
Sorry to hear your clutch is going. You just got that car, right? But hey, a 5 speed with clutch problems still beats an automatic!

I am so f$%#in tired of this f$%#in snow that I could f$%3in hurt someone the next time they say, "but it makes everything look so pretty." Well f$%# that. They can come here and shovel my sidewalk and drive way for me. I went out and cleaned all that cause my mom had to go to work still, stupid state building. And the f$#%in thing is coverd up again. 4 to 6 inches my a#$. I would bet we got 7 already and it´s still coming down. Sorry I herd 2 red say about the snow and I just had to vent.

Sorry to hear about your car. the clutch is a bitch to do on anything. Thank goodness mine is auto, i just have the problem of the tranny going south every once in a while. Good thing for warrenties!!!

i´ve had the car for about a month now....i´ve put about a 1000miles on it....but, i knew the clutch was going out, like, when depressing the petal, it doesn´t go all the way down to release the clutch when shifting.....

yeah, [email protected]%@# clutch, i did one in my 86.....took about 5hrs, and we did in my driveway....
now, i can get my car in the garage, maybe next week and do it w/ a little help from my dad....i can do it all day saturday, since i end up sitting in my house anyway...thank god for propane heaters!...

well, time to dish out my freaking paycheck before next weekend....argggg..............my 285 bucks, is now down to 215 bucks.....well, actually like 190....cell phone, car payment the money i borrowed from my mom........man.....to be a teen...

but atleast i have a car....i suppose...

anyway i´ll keep you all posted

My LX has the same problem... you don´t have to push the clutch all the way in before you shift... however, the clutch still seems good when I stomp on the gas, so I guess it´s all the better! It´s like having a short throw clutch, stock! woot!

And I personally don´t care how much money I throw into my car... I eat ramen noodles and buy used clothing, and currently have no g/f, so it´s my pleasure to dump my paychecks into my GT. Fun fun fun. :-]

Hey, stop whining 325 bucks.....PFFFFFFFF....that´s nothing man. LOL...check this, my paychecks average 239 every week, right now I´m down to 90 bucks and I´m going to try to keep it right there until next pay day. When my timing belt blew I put $1000 into the engine, borrowing $230 from my dad, 2 weeks later the oil rings failed, costing me another $1000, that time I had to borrow $700 from my dad...THEN my tires started going flat every morning...those were $350 dollars...guess what? i had to borrow IT ALL from my dad. so basically I owed him $1250 PLUS, it took me all spring to pay him back because I was in school and losing 4 hours a week off my paycheck. :-Y It´s all good now and my car runs...not perfectly...but it runs. stupid shop that did my rebuild sucks ass... :-Y

Sorry to hear the clutch is going. Why is mine still good? It is a 93 EGT, I bought it with 123000km on it and have put on 77000, and it is still gripping like new. Are they just really good in that car? My Lancer was nowhere near like that! :-D

i know why mine is going......... the lady i bought it from couldn´t drive stick, so she feathered the clutch out when the engine is rev´d to like 4 grand......

if i can run it for a few more weeks it would be awesome....
