What year is your LX???? If it is newer than 96, then the 2.0 SPI might be the best way to go. If it is 95 or older I would suggest a 1st gen GT engine. The reason being is the 96 and newer LX cars are equiped with OBDII and the 2.0 SPI was only in OBDII cars, where as the 95 and older were OBDI and so was the 1st Gen. although converting from an OBDI to OBDII system is nice because the OBDII is easier to diagnose (If you have an OBDII scanner) it will require a lot more rewiring than if you stayed with an OBDI system. You will have to do some rewiring one way or the other due to the fact that the SPI has extra wiring to control the split port system, or if you go the other rout you will have to figure out how to hook the distributor up from on the 1st gen engine. Well I guess you could actually keep the EDIS (Electronic Distributorless Ignition System) and put a freeze plug into the distributor hole on the 1st Gen head. But you would have to make sure and use the crank pully from the 2nd gen and the Crank Positon Sensor. I could go on for a while about the possability of both swaps, but the main concern is the crossing from one OBD to the other. If you have anymore questions let me know.
