Soon, because it is a relatively cheap thing that you can do to make your car look unique, (and we all like that, don't we?) I will be gutting my interior and repainting it piece by piece. My dad is saying why do this because the car is brown on the outside and black (dash & console) and brown (pretty much everything else) on the inside so it matches. I was wondering if anybody had any thoughts on what color I might paint the inside. I'm going to get matching covers for the seats after I paint it, so they are a non-issue. I was thinking black with silver accents, such as the vents, door handles, and window cranks and other key parts but I am not sure. Is my dad right? Should I just leave it alone?

I think it would be tought to match or complement the brown. I'd leave it, unless you are considering changing the whole interior color, but that is a whole other issue. I'd leave it and make it as clean and sharp looking as possible in the original colors.

I was actually considering changing the whole interior color but I'd like it to match the outside. Thanks for the input. I think, after some consideration, that I am going to go out and buy some silver paint for my air conditioning vents, to make them contrast with the black dash. I believe I am going to leave the brown stuff the way it is though.

i mean the red and black are pretty good but i need a change too,

or i was also thinking of painting the whole exterior mustang orange, and the interior white.

but its just a thought

or maybe the exterior gunmetal, and the interior yellow and black.

Do you have cable? If you're near St. Louis and have cable it's probably charter (the bastards have a monopoly on the cable biz for like a 50 mile radius; warn the world peeps!) and you get TVland. It's on TVland all the time, along with Gilligans Island, and all those other classic TV shows everyone likes. Like happy days! The Fonz rocks. Aaaaayyy. :p
