i see that too James.. but urs is also a GT.. its just a little easier.. me and my bf sat there for 30 mins tryin to not "force" it out and finally with enuff sailor cursing he forced it out and broke the hazard button.. and kinda broke off one the screw thingys so now theres a very small dent chip on it which u cant even really tell, but thanx guys for ur help i'll try whichever is more convienient for when i get my gauges and i'll post a new topic to show u guys..LoL..

Ahh yes...teh old hazard light . I had an altercation with mine too, LOL!!!
Mine never worked quite right in the first place...You had to wiggle it around and beat on it some to get it to work. Not int eh greatest of shape. Wehn I painted my dash, it snapped clean off too. I hit it sideways on accident working on removing a screw, and that was it. I left it off. When itpopped off though..I could see some glue residue on it form the orgiinal owner of my car. hehe so No more hazard lights for a while for me. Its alright....your'e not alone. hehe I just had some help before I even had my dash part way off. LOL

HeHe.. I really need to find some time(yea right..) to start paintin my interior again, becuz with my low budget of moving out and whatnot, its the cheapest mod I can do for my car right now... I'm going to try removing the dash area around the gauges by first getting the steering wheel down..haha, anywayz, I really need some senior escort owners (i KNOW ur redin this!)in here to help me figure out if the reverse indiglo gauges WILL in fact fit my 95 LX, when all the sites say years 91-94.. when I see no visuble difference other than the red line starts at 7000RPM instead of 6000.. HELP ME PEOPLEZ!

I'm not sure if this is addresses elsewhere or not, but is there a certain type of paint to use for the fabric part of the door panels? I've seen cars like latin8ball's and such where it looks like the fabric is another piece of vinyl or plastic or something. Is that the case? Or does just painting over the fabric make it look like a hard surface?

There is a paint called "Dupli Color Vinyl & Fabric" you have to clean with degreaser and soap and water make sure you don't get any body oil on the parts you are going to paint. Then you you wipe it with "acetone" to open up the pores. Then spray it with a spray called bull dog and paint it with the vinyl paint and clear. Thats how the guys in the club do it. In my case i had all the the fabric peices re-upholstered and all the plastic peices fiber glassed and painted the color of the car Green with Medium metalic flakes. This is the way to go if you are using basic colors and you will save your self like 1100 dollars

I gutted my entire interior on my 98 wagon. It had the tan interior, and i hate tan, so i decided to redo the whole thing.... a lot of work....
I used Duplicolor and VHT Caliper paint for the heat vents. No clear coat. No chips or cracks yet, and it's been done for about 4 months. I do about 2000 miles a month.

If anyone need some hints or tips on the 3rd gen interior i've taken the entire thing apart and back together again...

It turned out really good, I'll have to hook yous up with some pics.

Hey everyone, i havent posted in like forever... been busy working two jobs.. so no time lately, but my mom is goin to hawaii on april 23d and wont be back til the 30th so im house sitting, and doing my entire interior over again, and more.... the shift boots i bought from jujeracing.com(or sumthin like that) are cracked materiel... so i might just keep the actual boot on and get rid of the cracked ebrake one... or buy some material and do the dimensions alittle better to fit right, cuz theirs fit crappy.... repaint everything... and more including my door panels.... blue here we come again..LoL.. i havent been doing anything nice to my car lately..i fell bad.. its time to start up again, ima try n order indiglo guages and a chrome bezel and get it before i go up there so i can get the job done in a coupel days of workin on it.. clear coat clear coat!!!!!

actually i was wanting to do my interior blue and black and i thought it would be way to expensive to have it dyed for i figured i could do it myself i used duplicolor auto ecrylic enamel and a duplicolor clear coat first sand everything you want panted and then clean it because for some reason the paint does'nt want to stick to anything made by ford it took me 2 coats of black for the dash
and like 3 for misc parts and then the clear coats i will have pics soon but it cant out pretty nice...im debating wether to use fabric paint or put carpet and headliner in myself

o ..and the fusion paint by krylon works great..i did a few other piece with it and it chipped but the main parts on the interior havent chipped.. and it looks great..but i need the dash cluster and door panels to make everything cometogether
