OK I had cold air intake into my fender well but I´m doing a custom hood vent and I need the filter right under the vent. The problem is my intake tube is too long with the silencer box there. Can I cut my pipe and slide everything up and then do it or will that do anything bad???

as long as everything is hooked up the way it´s supposed to be i don´t see a problem with shortening up your pipe to make it fit under the scoop/vent.

Doesn´t matter how long or short it all is...if its just a silencer box you really dont even need that.
