lemme ask you this......Would these fit the 1.9's?
You'd be better off in calling up corksport & inquiring to them as of that, I have no idea.

...I have the number for Chris around here somewhere I think...every order I've placed he's had to call me to make sure that my shipping address really is there. lol

Another Option would be to get the Weapon R Hyper intake. I run an older model of that intake and I love it, It costs 190 for the 1.9's and 195 for the 1.8's (plus shipping, that I don't know) but in my opinion it is worth it. I'm not an intake expert but when I finally put my intake into the car I knoticed that it had a little bit more power in the high RPMS than it had stock. See the price/application list here for your exact model: http://www.weapon-r.com/dragipr10.html

(edit) here's a dyno sheet provided by TPR that shows the gains from a Weapon R intake you can see minor gains at the low end, and more significant gains at higher rpms:

and while it probably wasn't an Escort, it will still mkae similar gains in your engine.

i just finished a group buy for intakes on the 1.8L engines. it was easy and costed $95. i bought 2, 90degree aluminium mendral bends, cut them to the angles i needed, welded the straight section and volia, intake. then i got another 90degree bend and that was the cold air extension. ok and a good point to remember keep your resinator box. removing it has proven a loss in low end torque. well at least for the 1.8L
