I recently purchased a cone intake from ebay for my 95 LX. I was gonna instal it, but I noticed that the IAT sensor goes into the intake box. Is the IAT really important, and if so how would I go about using my cone filter? Would I have to cut a hole in the filter and insert the IAT like that, or is there a better and easier way?

You want it in a place where it measures the temp of the air that the intake is getting. So theoretically it doesn't have to be IN the intake as long as it's measuring the correct temps. You can install it in the base of your filter, in the intake pipe, or even on the outside of the filter somewhere. I have seen people let them dangle freely but I wouldn't recommend that, try to keep it close to the intake air at least.
