Okay, so i am looking into security systems now. One thing I am curious about is the actual physical lifting of the driver's lock. From what I understand I need to get a motor of sorts that will be signalled by the alarm system to unlock that door. I don't really know how that would work, just referring to what the guys around the shop are telling me. Any help?

So I will have to get this installed in the door for my "unlock" to work in the remote. And since the driver's door unlocks all the doors when unlocked I shouldn't have to worry about the others.. right?

If that is the case, then I don't see why not. Do you have power locks now?

Well there is no actual button for locking or unlocking the car. I simply have to push down or raise the lock on the top of the door panel. WIsh it had a button though....hm

Well I figure I would update this since it has been a second. And I did end up following through with his little project.

For a security system, I used a site I noticed another member reccomending and got a rather simple system:

    http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_189 ... A-100.html

This particular system was real easy to wire as I needed and real simple to set up. Routed the system's actuator-out through the boot in the door to a $5 or $6 two-wire actuator I got from the same site. I was able to remove and alter the given harness for what I needed and it was real easy to get the actuator bolted in the door to function properly.

Anyway, if you happen to have the same setup as I did: Driver door controlling the rest of the car's unlock and lock system, I definately reccomend this cheaper system to convert to a keyless entry setup. So far it has been great for me. :)

just for the hell of it, when i had a speed shop put my alarm in the crx, i told them no door lock motor. reason for this is because i leave my doors unlocked and the alarm activated to save my windows from gettin smashed.
