I bought some used MX6 paintable housings and I am fusing them to some stock headlights. This is all mock up now with some busted stock housings.

I would be farther, but the wifey doesn't want me belt sanding in the basement...women! It's too cold to sand more than 5 mins! More to come!

I'll tell you what...you wife allows you more time to play than mine ever would. If it isn't something for the house lately, it ain't happening. OH well, guess I'll have to wait for summer to play out in the shop. Heating the place is killing me, anyway.

From the Escort Coworth, on the other side of the pond. basically comes out in a hoop straight back from the roof line, with a center post to support on the back of the hatch.

Jer, don't forget to get rid of the light refractors on the inside of those lenses to make it smooth, or the projector beam will get all sorts of messed up

No worries, I plan to cut holes into the stock front, and blend into the other housings. Same effect as the MX6 donor ones. Then a coat of paint black once finalized to wrap up. Black with a satin clear coat...I want to try to match the tinted side lights.

I may try to do something with the turn signal housing after happy with the headlights. It is crazy how close of angles they have.

With my rad and stuff painted black, it's hard to see well. FYI, I did this one for only $50! The grills were sent to me for that price though. If any interested, I am willing to make more of any style...

IMO, that looks way better than the 323 grill. no mods needed.

    NICE work Jeremy!!
I can't wait till I can start on my grill and headlights. But with the kids and working out of town the wifey doesn't like me to be away much more than I have to.

No man, you haven't told me to sell it, and it's your design. It's wrapped up here waiting for it's new home...

Thanks Agrowagon, the kid balance is a pain, we and others know! I would have been turbo too, if it weren't. But like you said, you'd never change it for anything! I was curious; You get your camber bolts yet?

Update... I have the p/s light mocked up and need to cut the holes for the light pods. I have started messing with the extra turn signals I have and so far, I have this.

It's rough right down, some further trimming is needed before fusing and smoothing.

Thanks! No need to patent, LOL. Copy all you like, just remember your inspirations; I never forget mine. As you could guess, I kinda like doing this stuff. I am just using a Dremel and a belt sander for my project here. Just fair warning, cutting the transparent lenses is nasty, it smokes, smells and flings hot plastic. Where safety glasses! Cutting the amber was worse that the clear on a smoke/noxious fumes aspect. I have the exhaust fans going at my bar, where I do most mod work and it is better. I have set off the smoke alarm when cutting the black plastic too. More to come this weekend, especially if I can afford another set of stock housings I can get the bracket off without breakage.
Hope it warms up soon, I want to put my new clutch and flywheel in, this winter seems long already and I want to have the car back on the road!
