Ok, I didn´t race another car, but a guy I work with just bought an Acura RSX Type S, he seems new to the thing because he was asking about intakes and exhaust, the effects of installing these and suspension kits, etc etc. I mentioned what I had in my car and he wanted to go for a ride. Had a couple of quick blasts up and down the road. Think I impressed him cus he was grinning and saying ´wow´ and all. Now he wants to get together and talk shop/turn wrenches on his car. Always cool when a ´vintage´ Escort can impress somebody.

3 of my friends were impressed by my escort. "Wow this car has some balls" One of them own Carado other. 2k Mustang other one 2k Prelude.

When i used to work at Arby´s i always had to take people home and i had this one guy in my car, and i floored it off a light and he was like "damn dude, i haven´t been in an Escort with balls like this." He was rather impressed. And i was beaming with Pride. i love this car.

my friend´s escort could smoke almost every car in my school´s student parking lot, besides the Impreza WRX and the Mustang GTs. mine on the other hand was usually far behind the pack except when up at speed.

What did your friend do to his Scort that he would take any car in the parking lot. If he can´t take the Mustang GT, he won´t be able to take the WRX, (that being my dream car, i know EVERYTHING about it.) My friend has an 01 Mustang GT. I want to try to get my scort down to a low to mid 14 second 1/4 mile. That way i can take Mustang GTs (0 to 60: 6 seconds) and WRX´s( 0-60: 5.4-5.8 seconds). I don´t know if i can get the car down below 6 second 0-60 though because of the gearing in the transmission. I don´t want to buy a new one either.
