It's more difficult than it seems. Well... pushbutton to crank the starter is relatively easy, but it's much more difficult to have a hands-off, keyless pushbutton start.
Most people wire up the starter to the pushbutton and use the key to start the fuel pump and everything else.
If I were to do it, I'd hook up everything to a switch, so it would be like an airplane cockpit and I'd have to manually turn on all the power systems before I cranked the starter. That's just me though.
