I have searched for a little while.

I am trying to set base ignition timing on this car and I haven't been able to identify which notch is TDC and which notch is 10 degrees etc.

I removed the power steering belt to see better, but all I can see are a bunch of notches on the lower timing cover with no marking. My BP protege manual says that I should see a 10 degree mark clearly but I don't see any of the marks being any larger than the next!

It is too cramped in there to take a picture.

Please help!

Thanks!

There is also a TDC mark if you remove the crank pulley and belt cover behind it. Just line up dot to dot.
Ahh thanks!

I just posted about removing the lower timing cover above! I am guessing that I have t remove the crank pulley to remove the lower timing cover huh?

Thanks!

I just don't like the way that the lower covers are sitting, so I just want to check everything down there.
