If it's a US 323 then nothing on it will fit your engine. The US 323 has the b6t 1.6l engine which is not the same as the 1.8l in escort gt's. You need a japanese 323 to get the 1.8l bp-turbo motor that you are looking for.

Well first you need to find a japanese 323 lol. You need the complete engine (all sensors, etc.), wiring harness, and ecu. Then you can basically swap it right onto your gt transmission and you are good to go. Everything else will bolt right up since it's basically the same engine, but turbo of course.

ok if it is the 1.6L GTX, you will need the WHOLE front clip for it to work. it can be done bu i dont see why you would opt for smaller displacement.

if you can get your hands on the 1.8L GTX then the gtx engine will use your stock mounts and will mate to your stock tranny. as stated befor you will need the ecu, and wiring harness. also all of the associated GTX sensors. the gtr will bolt in just like the gtx. i do know pwople who have modified the gt's wiring harness to fit the GTX/R ecu. this is kinda wierd but it has been done.

if you really want a turbo go to corksport and get the "jdm" turbo manifild. this exact maifold can be found on capri zx2's. that is where i got mine and it only set me back $30. a VJ18, 20, or 22 will mount to this mani. you can fide these turbos almost anywhere. a probe gt 2.2L will have a turbo that will mate. or you can buy new, it is all depending on your budget. Most mazda guys opt for building up the bP. the Dohc head flows better then the GTR and GTX.

It's a capri XR2, not zx2. Also the capri's DO NOT have a manifold that fits a 1.8. They have the same engine as the 323s which is a 1.6l (b6t). There is no US-spec turbo manifold for the 1.8l.
