Just buy a honda if you´re gonna do that. It would cost the same (or less!) to get the whole car than to stick an engine into a scort. Also if you look around you´ll see how ridiculously expensive a good honda engine is (b18´s are sometimes like 2k or more for just the engine), when you can get a nice mazda BPT for only like $900 or so and stomp a honda with that.

I have been considering something similar but with a 130hp ZTech out of a ZX2 or Focus ZX3.There are alot of hop ups for that motor and it will still be a scort at heart.I have been thinking about paying the $200 to become a member of I.A.A.(insurance auto auctions) to buy a wrecked one to pillage the parts from.I´d probably end up paying $800-$1000 including the membership.

What the hell is the point of having an American car (ok so the BP engine is built by Mazda...but Mazda is owned by Ford) if you´re just going to drop in the engine of a sworn enemy?? To me that just doesn´t make sense. But do whatever floats your boat. I agree with sleeper, just go buy a Honda Civic with a B16/18 if you really want one.

well sh14t, ya learn something everyday. i´ve been thinking it´s been just ford / mercury crossover only, and taht ford / mazda teamed up for the protege / Scort, and lately the ranger f150 / bf4000 (mazda´s truck). and i thought GM had a monopoly going!

You do realize I had to read that twice... And the second time I started hyperventilating... My head is in a paper bag as we speak...

t3 hybrid is the biggest quick bolt on. you can go bigger with a little work.
the JV20 will get you to 250HP without to much trouble and tops out about 13-15PSI

the T3 will run upto 30 from what I´ve heard so the sky is pretty much the limit. at that point your not likely to keep traction though so you need to worry about a lot more than boost.

the stock BP engine can handle 300HP with no trouble.
