ok. Im ready to turbo my 88 egt. i have the instructions so i know HOW to do this, and i have parts lists, BUT NO PARTS! I need parts, so if ANYONE has, or knows of, a junked 84-85 EXP Turbo, an 85egt turbo, or any Mustang SVO, Merkur, or t-bird turbo stuff, I would love to know. My egt needs to go faster! I need to beat 5.0 Mustangs!!

Merker XR4Ti parts are a good idea, but not for the actual turbo.

The XR4Ti´s are a 2.3L SOHC (Ford Pinto motor) The turbo will be a little big for your 1.6L, 1.8L, 1.9L motor (just applying this to everyone).

Stick with the little IHI turbo off the early Escort Turbo. Actually the right idea has already been stated by a complete donor vehicle...use it for you need, then go parting the rest of it on ebay or something and try to make some cash back.

The dude selling his turbo is asking more than i want to pay. i dont want to pay $800+ and possibly blow up my motor. (Id rather pay much less to blow it up). so the hunt is still on for turbo parts!

If you need parts I can get you a brand new TB03 in a .35/.60 AR trim with wastegate and elbow and water jacket for @ $450 new. the .35 is a non US spec was equipped in europe only on a 1.6L over there.. let me know, also take at look at my website under the turbos, the turbo headder you see there was made for a 1.6L BP from a 88´ GTX it´s 316 stainless with 1.5" collectors. price is @ $790 Canadian or @ $495 US because these are one off´s at the moment. I also have wastegates good to 1.1 bar for @ $240 us,

I would like to know how much it would cost for the ENTIRE setup. I really want a turbo, but I dont want to pay too much. If its a lot of money, I might as well buy a car with a turbo in it already, you know what i mean?

My brother-in-law bought an exhaust for his 92 Plymouth Laser from an online performance supplier. I forget the name of the company, but they offered him a great deal for the exhaust if he agreed to let the company document the installation and post it online. If you would be willing to do something similar to that, that would be fantastic.
