Escort LX-E today out on the road. Now I know they have the 1.8 and GT Suspension, but weren´t they supposed to have other things like the grille or front bumper off a GT? Maybe I was mistaken. I´m thinking about trying to find an LX-E to putt around in and fix up my GT, but they´re rare around here.

Nope, body wise they don´t have anything special, but they have their own style wheels. The Tracer LTS has a special front lip though.

Yeah, LXE´s are pretty cool, and kinda rare I´d bet. Imagine what a sleeper it´d be with a turbo in it!

a lot of people don´t even take my Escort GT seriously, then I whipped up on that Mustang V6, and I bet that guy wasn´t smiling when he saw me pull away.

It freaks people out when I drive around with the car club and first the 3000GT-VR4 blows off, then the Eclipse GST, then the Talon TSi, but when my Scort does too...talk about making people jump.

Its all about the SLEEPER!

I´m surprised you never saw an LX-E before. I had a buddy who bought a 91 LX wagon new. He´s so stupid. He wanted the GT motor but not a 2 door car and he didn´t know there was an LX-E or Tracer LTS and so got the wagon and modded it quite a bit. He got 17" 3 spokes which made the drums look really stupid. It was jacked up in the back to clear the wheels which looks dumb on a front driver. Everybody went "Look at the moron thinks hes got a hotrod!" He did alot of audio stuff but paid people to do it since he is so useless, anyway it sounded good. Did cam, intake exhaust and i think some chip or something. And springs and shocks. And big stripes over the top(in more ways than one) Did you know the LX-e came with only 14" wheel? a design unique to that car, but still just 14".
