    Photos are pretub and possibly miss leading. The coil overs are not notched and don't come in contact with the rear tires. Possibly the shadow of the cut out from the body work makes it look like they are resting on the tires. The tubs come in to right to the coil overs but not past them. Let me see if I can pull up a different angle. 20191130_170012.jpg 20200107_220149.jpg The tub lips inward just over the top of the coil overs. The tubs have close to 3" of clearance around them for tire deflection from the suspension and tire movement or growth. The first photo shows where they connect at the top. The second is not a great photo, but shows placement of the base of the coil over to the tire. I just posting off what I have in my phone.
    I'm not sure if that answers your question or if you were seeing something else. I'm always open to double triple checking my work. It would not be the first time that I thought a design would work great, then say to myself after it's built, what on earth was I thinking? Lol

    Barra would be killer. Would probably have to do a serious set back to make it work. At that point you could make the whole car flip up like a funny car.
    The plan is to attend an up coming Hot Rod Power Tour and the Drag Week. I built in a trailer hitch for pulling a small trailer. Once I have it running reliably, I'll sign up, and post where I'm going to be.

    The struts I used to originally setup the front suspension were shot, and were 2004 sn95 mustang type. The escort hood line is lower than a mustang. I can back off the coil over adjustment for the springs, but then the range might not work well with the travel and bottom out going over a bump. At full extension it might also be possible to have the spring un seat. Sooooooo.
    Had to come up with a viable replacement. Since the front end is mustang, one trick is to mate the older style Fox body struts in place of the sn95 ones. This shortens full extension a good inch and more than that under compression. I bought the Strange 6001em Fox body struts.
