I bought a 96 gtx in decent shape for 700 bucks. I think it was a steal. I drove it home and then clutch went out a mile from home. Im wondering if anyone knows a shop anywhere in mn that does good work for a car like mine. Id have them put a clutch in it. And check over the car. And also an intercooler line. Maybe some other stuff. But i dont want to bring the car to some shop that never seen a turbo before. Car will be my daily driver. Im new to the turbo EGT stuff. Id do it myself but, i dont have the time right now and id like it fixed. So if someone could give me a few shops that specialize in cars like mine please let me know. I live in willmar so the closer the better.

The shop should not mess with turbo since you said clutch needed replace? so they should not touch turbo for any reason any shop that person know how to replace the clutch should be ok, i had my focus replace clutch at home business shop and did great job and much cheaper... it up to you...

Depending on the setup, some IC piping might be in the way. Trans' are "easy" on these. I have mine out in about an hour.

I bought it from a guy in Hibbing, but I have no clue who he bought it from. I think the guy lived in Wisconsin that put the time into it, because I can tell at one time someone put a lot of time and money into it. The guy I bought it from clearly didn't know anything about it nor did he take care of it. So I'm fixing it up. Its a 96 EGT in Cayman Blue. Not sure at this point what turbo it is, but has programmer on dash, MSD timing box etc.. Also someone put a prestige security system in it. I tore that out right away because it kept making alarm go off and not letting car start. There's all kinds of stick on heat shield stuff under hood and in the trunk. It has Strut supports, Boost gauge, Fuel pressure gauge. It obviously had a column cluster in it at one point. Shortened shifter with custom boot on it. Magna-flow exhaust or Flow Master, Cant remember right now. Probably forgetting a lot of other stuff too. Its getting clutch, bunch of other stuff done to her right now. It should be done within the next week. An ill get a bunch of pictures of it. Ill try and share them with you. It had stock rims on it but I put the 91 style on it off my parts car, but whoever did the work did it a while ago. More than likely it was not very recently, hah. If you do know who owned the car and you could get ahold of them, please do so id like to ask them a couple questions if possible. Also, does anyone think its worth fixing the rust? or should I find a clean southern car and build from bottom up?
    Thanks
    -Val

Once you get pictures up I might know who built it.
So who is putting the clutch in?
