Sounds like the air flow meter isn't plugged in all the way of a big vaccum leak

Alright. Well we can at least start by finding out what car he actually has. This was posted both in the 2nd gen GT and 3rd gen sections.

if I remember correctly, he has a 91 EGT. I will move his other thread into this section as well. I talked to Greg on myspace, and told him that he would most likely be able to get the info that he needs here. It's been almost 10 years since I have owned a BP, so I was hoping someone here could help more than I could

Sounds like an intake air or vacuum leak as stated before. If it sat so long, it possible the fuel is bad, filter clogged/restricted? I bet the rubber intake hose has developed a crack. Inspect it for any possible air leaks. While it was sitting, a rodent might have made home of the air box. I have seen clogged air filters and damage to other cars from pests. Is it possible the VAF has an issue? Take the VAF off the air box so you can move the flapper/vane while attempting to run. It must be properly connected to the intact intake tubing...

A cone filter eliminates an air box issue. Though removing the cone an messing with the vane door to see how it responds couldn't hurt. Pics would be nice, are you running a stock intake rubber tube? They tend to develop cracks and leaks which the system does not like. I am just saying where I would start from the description provided. Maybe a faulty/sticky TPS or IAC?

You must host the image on another site; myspace, facebook, photobucket, etc. Then copy the URL address/img code and paste in your post.

I will put up your other pics if you want, but try practicing in the testing forum.

Looks like a newer distributor, a good reman? So the engine dies when giving throttle or not staying running at all? Change anything prior to parking it?
