My sister is dating a guy that can build and install CUSTOM turbochargers, wastegates, intercoolers and all the piping necessary to make the 14psi 13 second Escort of my dreams. The cool thing about this relationship is this guy goes to my sisters church and does the mechanics on her car for her which is what she needs. He´s a mechanic for the M1A2 Abrams, so you gotta KNOW he´s good at what he does.

The last guy my sister dated married her, had a kid then walked out on her. This guy has about 300,000 times the class and sophistication the last one had. He could become my BEST friend, just cause he can help me take out my ex-friends ****** Mustang GT convertible.

He was telling me his shop does mostly Civics and when i told him I would like to turbo my car he asked me "is it a DOHC model?" I was like yep and he then told me yeah we can build you a custom turbo, intercooler, and all the piping to go with it. I think my smile went ear to ear at that point. I´ll let him know there´s a lot of people out there with Escorts that want turbo. The shop is here in my hometown too. which makes it cool, I don´t have to ship the motor to California to have it turbo-d.

Sounds like quite a cool arangement. I have always envied the shops and tools the military folks have at their disposal. I live across the river from Barksdale and those boys have one helluva facility that they can use any ol´ time they would like. DAMN!! Guess that´s one of the benefits when you offer to put your ass on the line for your country.

I wanted to remind everyone that there ins´t anything custom needed. a GTX manifold will bold right up as well as turbo. you will need a custom fitting of a intercooler and custom bent piping but other than that its buy and bolt

well if i don´t make things custom then i can´t make the engine compartment out the way i want it. I´ll explain how i want to build it later.
