some googling lead me to check the fuel filter it was not plugged in well

some googling lead me to check the fuel filter it was not plugged in well. after plugging it in the car runs good but it keeps popping off when i’m driving I’m thinking it’s the plastic lock anyone had similar experiences?

Are you sure it is the fuel filter ? That should be somewhere under the car near the tank.
Clips like that are available from an auto parts store like oreillys

The clips also typically come with new filters. I like to put a tiny dab of grease or oil on the mating parts when reconnecting the fuel lines, it makes it less likely to tear the O-rings.

the problem right now is that you dont understand how those clips work.

first off, that clip is still good
2nd - that clip goes into the holes with that pointy part of the clip pointing away from the fuel filter
3rd - you then push the hose back onto the fuel filter until it snaps/clicks into place

keep reading these steps until you understand and it wont come off again. Also, make sure you did not have the same problem on the other side of the fuel filter

I found the clip in orielys and replaced. the old one didn’t tighten very well making the line pop off the filter. the car runs good again just down a full tank of premium gas and an octane booster. thank you for your help again

I also add a small plastic wire tie for back up in case the plastic clip fails...

Don't bother putting premium in your car. There is no benefit.
