Today I woke up thinking I was going to go look at vehicles for my mom whose recently been in an accident and instead I got to thinking about working on my car.
The past few days I had pulled the ford emblem off my GT grille and bondo´d and sanded it flat. Today I finally got around to being able to primer it. I put one coat on each side so far.
Then I got to thinking about my cars ass end. I took two screwdrivers and pryed the other emblem off my hatch and sanded the glue off. I then thought about taking my orange reflector off and noticed six little bolts/nuts holding it on. I have three of the nuts off but the other three had rusted, and split apart so I need to get a hacksaw to chop them off.
I wanted to bondo and primer all this at once to make it look better and save myself a little bit of work. I ended up taking off the upper plastic half of hte hatch to reveal all the inner workings of my inside hatch, brake and license plate light.
While I´m doing this I´m thinking about my engine. I got a hold of demonicEGT and we got to talking about the air silencer, and his little project so i hopped in my GT and drove over there. I got my air silencer off now. It is a little louder, especially once VICS opens up those little butterfly valves. I love it. So all in all I think I had a wonderfully car-productive day that´s taught me just that much more about my car. :-]
