Just recently I acquired a very neglected 93 LX and have found this site a great help in getting things running right and thought it only fitting that I say hello! I don't see myself doing anything overly fancy with my car aside from replacing the god awful factory speakers but who knows (I have a tenancy to go overboard).

Welcome to the forums. I think you have the best of the Escorts. I have 3 of the 2nd. gen. LX's. Have rebuilt the engines in all 3 of them. (No point in my buying cars that dont need repairs - I would rather get bargain prices on the ones with known 'issues'.
