I got a tach the other day, and I have been trying for like the last 2 days to find the wire that has the RPM reading in it. I looked at wiring diragram and still cant find the damn thing. If anyone knows where to get the RPM reading from for a 94 escort lx please tell me, I am getting annoyed.
I know I can get it from the old tach, but I dont wanna remove my dash. Big pain. I know there has to be a wire under hood that has it in it. Anyways, please lemme know soon, I spent 150$ on this thing and it dont even work, lol.

Jeez I really need to get my how-to done for this.

OK, I assume you have all the wires hooked up except the signal wire. This wire (green usually) has to go to the one empty hole on the EDIS ECU plug. This is located in front of the battery bolted to a metal bracket. There is only one hole that has no wire in it, and this is the one that gives the tach signal. So all you gotta do is connect the wire to that and it will work. Hope this helps ya. Email me at [email protected] if you have any questions. ~Mike

OK.. its a bastard to do and i tried the directions from above when i got mine and it didnt work for anything.. you have to take out all the screws are your gauges.. and take out the gauge cluster.. pull of the RPM gauge and there are 3 prongs.. one of them says SIGNAL.. wrap the green wire around it and it should work.. but like i said its a bith to do.. your going to also have to drop the steering wheel down to get to the gauge cluster.. !!!
