    Took a gander at my dad's (formerly my) 1997 Escort wagon on Sunday. I sold it to him with about 202k a little over a year ago.

    Nothing major. I bought it with about 240,000 on it. It had a reman head around 150,000. The thing fires right up and is ready to go. Biggest problem I've had with the old escorts is the caliper slide pins getting all crusty.

    Passed 330K today. Needs new tires and front brake pads and probably ball joints or CV joints? Hearing some popping/snapping noises from the front while turning at very low speed (parking spaces etc.). The P1443 code hasn't come on in months now for some mysterious reason.
