Fuel pump is easier then the half shaft.

two push button clips hold the rear bench cushion.

screw driver to remove the plate :

NOTE: BE VERY careful, dont bend the metal fuel lines going to the sending unit.

You may need to use a screw driver and a hammer to move the locking ring.

the pump plugs in and sits in the sending unit harness just like the factory one.

Replace the fuel sock and get a gas tank gasket from ford. The aftermarket ones never seem to seal right.

Hey Seth, ahh my bad, sorry just kinda assumed the rest of the world drives a 2G like mine. 1G scorts may be different in which case you would have to drop the tank. Really sorry man, I was just tired and ignorant. Ask some of the 1G guru's like Justin.

But for 2G (and ZX2) owners...my directions can be useful.

Turbo: my partner in forcedinduction-crime that always helps me with my mods smokes like a chimminy and it seems like every time we're working on the fuel system he's lit up like a Xmas tree with bad wiring. Ya know, I guess I'm just pretty lucky gas isn't flammable in its liquid state.
