    You know this one:

Mine is corroded somewhat, and making a poor and intermittent connection. Or it was. I tried playing with it with a tiny screwdriver and tried to shoving it in and I got some of the crud out and it worked good last time I drive it (meaning that my battery dash light wasn't on). But I'd like to do it better by removing the metal part from the plastic part and cleaning it better, then applying dielectric grease.

I gave up trying to get it apart. I bought a female spade connector that would be a snug fit over the pin on the alt. I soldered it in place of the OEM connector. I used a piece of heat shrink tubing over it so it wouldnt be so likely to short to the case.
If you spend a while looking, you might find rockauto sells a new pigtail with connector in it.

I have thought of that. One review on Amazon they specifically stated that their problem was that the plastic connector piece broke, so they dissected it on both and just used the new piece of plastic. So it can be done, I just don't know exactly how. As is do I stick a tiny screwdriver into the front or back of the connector, and even then, on top or bottom of it? I've got 4 choices here!
