lx's never came with a 1.8, did you swap one in?
The 1.8 is the strongest of any motors that can bolt into a escort, why would you want to get rid of it?
You need a Zetec from a Zx2, one from the Focus have differant mounts and other things. You will need the entire car for parts, every thing from drive train to electronics.
