The ZX2 came with dinky donuts from the factory. Goodyears as I recall.

We have since replaced them twice and finally upsized to some Bridgestones, 195/60/15  . Now they are worn out. Well OK the two on the rear have about 5/32 left, so has anyone gone any larger? I found an ad for some tires, KUMHO, that are allot lower priced. But are still larger (taller, more diameter). We're talking serious sale pricing here guys. I think the ad said 205/60/15, nothing smaller.

Anyone have any experience with tires this size?

What about other tires? I am thinking of staying with the same swirl wheels as the car is essentially reduced to POS status in the mall parking lot where my son works.

i know of one guy running that exact size on an escort GT... and its a tight squeeze. you may have problems with rubbing. if you want to keep the height i would stick to a 195 60 15, or a 205 55 15. personally i'm running 205 50's on my fast car, and 195 60's on the beater.

i think for the stock height it's 195/55/15 or 205/50/15. I just switched from some 195/60/15's to some 205/50/15 khumo ecsta asx's and man it's sooooooooo much better now. here's the link http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...se&partnum=05WR5EASX&fromCompare1=yes&place=3

i got them for $63 each including shipping.

I love them, the 50 series sidewall makes for a more stable ride and better handling, and i haven't noticed any decrease in ride quality. and the wider the tires are the better traction and handling you'll have.

and o yea all this is on a 94 gt
