Actually, the did make a 2nd gen Escort. As a matter of fact, I have one sitting on my monitor here at work. It's called "Escort Rally", it's gold with a wing and rally lights on the front, with 1996 stamped on the bottom. One day when I remember, I'll take a picture and post it on the site.

I'm thinking about taking the dremel to it and getting rid of at the very least the wing and repainting it someday.

Actually, I've got 3 of those, but they're not the American Escort. Those are the Euro version. Notice the bodywork on the fenders and quarter panels. Grille and headlamps are different as well.

I too have been looking for the American Escort GT 2nd gen but have come up empty-handed.

I just like to pretend that it'a body kit. :wink:
