I picked up a 94 ford escort gt to replace my 95 mazda protege with a bp after I hit a deer, but the bp in the mazda is still fine. I'm pulling it for a spare for the egt, I was wondering how high of a compression ratio forged pistons I can run on 93 octane and the factory egt ecu? I have a lynk standalone in the mazda, but I believe the pinout is diffrent? Input anyone?

You might try posting on the FEOA or ClubProtege facebook groups- they get more traffic than this forum anymore, sadly.

I don't have the answer to your question, but Carlos A Rivera on the FEOA group might.

i wouldn't run more than 10.3:1. as i believe that is a miata compression ratio in some years. which means you could technically run its stock ECU and be ok.
