how can i ... make mi ecort loook kinda euro jejej its a 90 escort lx .. tell me or how can i increase my hp whit not to much money to spend..

Well little stuff like advancing the timing...it will just cost you running premium gas.

Exhaust is relatively inexpensive, and cutting the airbox with a better flowing filter.

I´m doing my whole turbo set up to run 5lbs on about a thousand bucks...that´s REALLY cheap compared to trying to do it with a honda

HEY IM GONNA BUY THE CHIP ITS COST ME 10 DLLS ON EBAY BUT IT REALLY WORKS??? MY SCORT ITS A 90 DOESNT HAVE A AIRBOX CAUSE ITS THE LX BUT IM GOING TO BUYT A LOT OF THINGS OF THE GT LIKE THE COMPUTER

Your car has an airbox. An airbox is where ever your filter goes.

Here´s my advice...dont pay for the chip. All it does is spoof your ECU into thinking the intake air is colder, therefore advancing the timing. What it doesn´t tell you is you need to run premium gas after doing that. And if you want o advance your timing just get a timing gun and turn your distributer

You´ll only really notice a superchip in an automatic, it improve shifting, in a MTX it´s really a waste of money. If you really want to increase hp start off with a cold air intake, then work on your exaust. I bought the intake for my 99 Ford Contour Zetec at http://www.ctamotorsports.com/
Chris Wong is a great guy and knows his stuff. I ordered the Intake on a Monday, and recieved it on a Wednseday all the way from Canada.
My roommate just bought a 97 escort sport this morning and I´m about to order her an intake from the same place.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but putting a Gen 1 GT computer on a Gen 1 LX will not work. Since the LX was throttle body injected it only has on injector. The GT has 4 injectors, but they are batch fired 2 at a time, so you would need atleast two injectors to get the GT computer to work right. Your best bet would be to start out by getting the header off of a Gen 1 GT, then get an intake manifold from a Gen 1 GT or a Gen 2 LX. I´ve seen Gen 2 LX manifold lying all over my local junk yard. That way you can use the GT computer, and have more HP to boot. The header itself should give you a decent boost from the way underpowered CFI motor.

My theroy behind the Gen 2 intake is if you go ahead and put the Gen 1 throttle body on it, it might actually be better than the Gen 1. The puny TB is what kills a lot of the power on the Gen 2 engine, plus I would think that SEFI itself is way better than batch firing injectors. The Gen 2 intake is lighter than the Gen 1 intake for one. For two the runners on th Gen 2 intake are smoother, and shorter which promotes better torque in the low end which is what a 4 banger really needs. I recently bought a Gen 2 intake just to see if my theroy is correct. I need to run some baselines first to see where my car sits now after the more minor mods I´ve applied. After I do that i will do the swap, not to metion a bit of porting on the intake, to see how it work out. I will post results as they come.
