Sorry to burst your bubble, but putting a Gen 1 GT computer on a Gen 1 LX will not work. Since the LX was throttle body injected it only has on injector. The GT has 4 injectors, but they are batch fired 2 at a time, so you would need atleast two injectors to get the GT computer to work right. Your best bet would be to start out by getting the header off of a Gen 1 GT, then get an intake manifold from a Gen 1 GT or a Gen 2 LX. I´ve seen Gen 2 LX manifold lying all over my local junk yard. That way you can use the GT computer, and have more HP to boot. The header itself should give you a decent boost from the way underpowered CFI motor.
