i have a 95 lx and it is doing the sputtering/hesitation thing too. how do i check/clean the mass air flow sensor? i have replaced the followings parts on it: egr valve, fuel pressure regulator,fuel filter pcv valve,o2 sensor, new plugs & wires, & had fuel injectors cleaned. any ideas?

um... the intake tube is the hose between the MAS and the throttle body. I can't make it much more clear than that.

get a spray bottle fill it up with water, spray around your plugges and wires, not too much though. look for spark jumping. it sounds like you may not have wires hooked all the way on or the pluggs arnt gapped right. you can first start by pulling the wires off the coil pack one at a time to make sure that all cylinders are fireing. at the same time if the engine is missing at idle as you are pulling the wires off look for wich one doesnt seem to make a diff, in the way the engine runs. that cylinder will be the guilty culpret. hope this helps.

you had this done by a auto shop?

sputtering

I had this problem few weeks ago. I'd step on the gas and my car would almost die on me and it would chug and jump on me. Took it to local shop and turned out was my thermostat sensor. They replaced it and now it's purrin like a kitten and runnin like a champ. May not be it but i thought i'd share.
