well...As som,e of you know I was pulling out my blown 1.9L motor and doing a swap...Well its Complete

My Escort now consists of a 2.0 SPI with Ford HO Header and Cone Filter.
The other goodies are going on soon. We pulled it in my neighbours garage and I put everything back togteher all night saturday and most of the day on Sunday. It still needs the exhaust hooked up to teh header..its loud as hell with it off....We cut the pipe because the downpipe bolts are so rusted youw ill not get them out.

Finally got my momo Replica wheel on too. The next couple weeks I will take it to get 2.25 cat back installed
went for a spinj today, and it pulls pretty damn good...Especially in low end.Its got massive torque. I need to make a Controller for the split port now.

here are some pics

BTW...Fixitmattman came by around 7 on saturady to get a few things and lend a hand and came back Sunday morning...we got it running Sunday around 2pm..There is a few pics of his Neon and his toolbox in the back.

Heres the SPI...Cost almost $600

Look at my old clutch..Its scored pretty bad...Look its even turned blue..You can tell its been hot.

Pressue plate is the same

and the flywheel

this intake manifold is mucj bigger

My car in my garge at around 9pm Saturday Night

Bolting up the HO header

Sunday Norning..Matts Tools 8O

Me hooking up the accessory bracket and power sterering pump

Matts Neon

Header down below

Everyone says its a must to use the 1.9L Thermostat housing...we managed to use the SPI one..Just use the 1.9L sensors and make our own heater hose

My interior..finally installing that Momo

Not really any problems at all

I ripped out the A/C because its a pain to work around that accesory bracket..So I pulled the plug...WE a,lso broke the dimple on the power steering pump suction line...Me and Matt managed to fix that..Tahts pretty much it..e also broke a stud on the heads for the manifold but managed to drill and tap it out. Al;so when we started it it would just die..the next day i relized the IAC was on backwards...lol that will do it.

Are you going to make an EGR block off plate? I see you left the EGR hooked up but you cut the pipe, that's what I did before I made myself a plate. Also, I've never heard that you should use the thermostat housing from the 1.9. I just pulled the sensors from the 1.9 housing and screwed them into the 2.0 housing, like you did. Good job and enjoy that 20% horsepower increase!

I had a certain interest in some of the parts I took off so I could used them on mine :p

Get that exhaust hooked up now and you'll be flying :D
