hey i have a 97 escort with a problem it has a broken stud in the hardest place to get to right below the fuel filter so i cant weld it and i drilled it out but theres no space between the block and the fire wall so i had to do it at an angle and cat fit a bolt in it so i need a new safe idea what do u guys think

no im sorry i ment to say the the stud on the sub frame that holds the bracket to the power stering rack upper studso what else could i do to hold that braket in place???

have you thought about a reverse drill bit? I know the first one was on an angle, but it may help to break it lose... if not, you may have to remove everything in the way... lots of work for something so small...

ya im hopeing i dont have to do that cus its a pain in the ass to put it back together i was thinking a big rivet the hole is about the size of a dime and i cant get a bolt behind it or the other way cus theres no were to put a wrench cant weld cus of fuel filter ????
