Need some help,

I bought my very first car 2 months ago, an 87 ford escort. I need to clean one of my headlights because there’s condensation building up and I wanted to ask how do you remove the head light bolts because one has already snapped and it looks confusing..

Thanks :)

Welcome aboard....the aero lights tend to have that happen to them. I agree, search the forum for "headlights" "foggy headlight lenses" and other related things. You'll find the info. IF you can't after a while of searching, I can answer your questions (just pm me), and I know Marsh has done a pretty extensive (and very good) headlight restoration. I've seen the work in person, and it looks new.

Are you looking to remove the whole headlight assembly, or just to clean the the water out?

Just to clean the lens you wouldn't need to remove the whole headlight. Just heat the edges to soften the adhesive, then gently pry the lens off. Clean to your satifaction. Use a clear glue and reinstall the lens.

Or, just drill some small holes in the bottom of the housing to allow water to drain out. Fast, easy, and gets the job done.

So I worked on the car today and I ended up drilling a small hole at the bottom of the light to let the water out. It worked. Also I was able to tighten the bolts to raise the lights because they were lose and bouncing around. So that part worked out too!
Thanks for your your help! :D
