Hi
the horn is not working on my 1994 Escort Wagon and I can not find the fuse for the horn. The main fuse box does not have it and i look at the fuse box under the hood. Did they put it someplace else.
does anyone know where it is???
any help would be apprciated.

Are you sure that it is not in the box under the dash on the driver's side? I would have almost bet me first born that that is where it is. I will check my book tonight.
I will check again... the users manual shows it next to the main fuse box but when i look there i don't see it... that space is empty. there is not even a label that says "Horn". so i thought that it was someplace else like under the hood.. but thanks.. i will check again and let you know

Do you hear a click eminating from the dash area when you press the horn? In other words, do you hear the relay clicking when you press the horn. If this is the case, then chances are that your horn has died. If you hear no clicking, then chances are you have blown a fuse or have a bad relay.
I do not hear any clicking sound from the relay so i am guessing that the fuse is blown.. i just don't know where the fuse is so i can check it. Do you know where the fuse is located??

thanks for the help

The manual I have says there is a horn fuse, 10 amp, and it is inside the car in the "joint box" which should be somewhere next to the main fuse box. Stupid chilton's manual, doesn't say what exactly a joint box is though.
yes .. the owners manual that i have says there is a horn fuse.. and even shows a location .. but when look there is nothing there and so i might have to get out the meter and search... :(
thanks for your help any ways...
